SEGA GameGear Commercial Staring Randy.(My name is Earl.)
Jan 14th
Right well as most gamers do,that are as old as I am tend to feel nostalgic from time to time. What better way to feed that nostalgia by youtubin up old game commercials and console boot up screens.I was caught in a nostalgia storm of epic proportions until I came across a commercial spanning back from the early 90’s for the SEGA GameGear. Upon watching it I couldn’t help but exclaim to my self. “Hey that dude looks so much like Randy!!” (Ethan Suplee.) Not been a big fan of the show I had to IMDB the show to find Ethan Suplee’s name. From there it was off to Google to confirm my suspicions. Shortly later it was confirmed so without further adue here is the commercial.
Bonus Round!
*For those about to Nostalgia we salute you!*
Cheesypoof’s Internet Pic Mash-up 1
Dec 8th
I spend a lot of time on the internet, this means I get to see a lot of awesome images everyday. I used to post the image as soon as I found it, but soon realised whilst my pictures I found on my travels were enjoyable; posting them so often they became a little less awesome and a little bit more spammy. So henceforth cheesypoof’s mash-up was born. I took every image I found, saved it and towards the end of the month compiled them into one epic scrollicious “best of the internet” mash-up. So far I have done two, and they have both proven to be quite popular and if this one takes I’ll keep on doing them and posting them here towards the end of the month. Take note that this one is a bit old but still has some classic images to provide you with many lulz and enjoyment.

Become a Jedi Master now (for only $99.99)
Dec 8th
Yesterday here at Life in Review we gave a shout out and some loving to our Star Trek fans out there, so it’s only fair we have a little something something for our Star Wars fans; and what we have will certainly peak the interest of every Jedi Master in training. The good fellows at Uncle Milton’s who have been working with the Star Wars franchise are bringing a series of Star Wars inspired toys. Some of these educational “toys” include Darth Vader’s Robotic arm (which you get to build yourself), an Optical Command Unit (fancy shmancy term for binoculars) and one of my favourites the Science Force Trainer.
What this Force Trainer claims to do is read your brain waves using a wireless headset to move a little ball inside a tube (very reminiscent of live lotto drawings – just think of the possibilities if you could move those balls). Unfortunately I don’t have the $99.99 in hard cash lying around right now so I haven’t had a chance to test this baby. There are however nine videos on the Uncle Milton’s website explaining how it works so if you’re feeling a little bit skeptical head over there. The Force Trainer has Yoda guiding you through 15 levels of training and includes over 50 Star Wars sound effects.Unfortunately the sweet Jedi gear and mother-load of batteries you need are not included.
Tweet in Klingon!
Dec 8th
With the new Star Trek MMO (massively multiplayer online) game just around the corner (2 February 2010) and the Star Trek movie just behind us, one would think the life of a Trekkie/Trekker couldn’t get any better; well it just did. Cryptic Studios (The creators of Star Trek Online) and Atari have been working with Friend2Friend to bring you this amazingly fun website that 9/10 Klingon’s recommend “Tweet in Klingon”.
So whether you’re in your D7-class battlecruiser or just chilling on Qo’noS be sure to give this website some good ol’ fashion lovin’ and don’t forget to let your fellow Klingon’s know about it.
Tiger Woods brings on the slow-jams
Dec 8th
a few weeks ago we posted a rather interesting youtube video that was said to be the CGI re-enactment of Tiger Woods’ little car “accident”, this time we have something even better. Here is another infamous Tiger Woods inspired video to get you in the mood. So press play, sit back and enjoy the slow jams.
For those of you who don’t know, the audio in this video is the voice message Tiger (Tiguuur) left for one of his little bits on the side (Jaimee Grubb). In the message he is urging her to change her voicemail greeting as his wife( Elin Nordegren) got hold of his phone.
The Transcription for the message is as follows:- “I need you to do me a huge favor. Can you please take your name off your phone? My wife went through my phone and may be calling you. So if you can, please take your name off that. Just have it as a number on the voicemail. You got to do this for me. Huge. Quickly. Bye.”

Dante’s Inferno Demo dated Dec 24th.
Dec 2nd
From a EA Press release.
Redwood City, CA – December 1, 2009 – December is about to heat up! Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) today announced that the playable demo for Dante’s Inferno™ will be available as a free download on PlayStation Network on December 10 and on Xbox Live on December 24. Dante’s Inferno takes gamers on a quest through hell, in an action-packed adaptation of part one of Dante Alighieri’s epic poem, The Divine Comedy. The ‘Gates of Hell’ demo includes the entire opening level and gives gamers a taste of the terrifying odyssey to come in the Nine Circles of Hell as depicted in the full game.
In the demo of Dante’s Inferno, players are introduced to Dante Alighieri’s re-imagined past as a crusader who returns home to Florence to discover his true love, Beatrice, murdered. As her soul escapes her body, she is kidnapped by the dark shadow form of Lucifer. Sworn to her rescue, Dante must journey to the Gates of Hell and beyond to battle undead monstrosities, unholy boss demons, and Death himself. Offering a glimpse into the vast world of Dante’s Inferno, the demo serves as a prelude to the player’s perilous journey to the inner bowels of hell.
“The world of Alighieri’s ‘Dante’s Inferno’ is such a rich, detailed, and often alarming universe, that all of us at Visceral Games put our hearts, and dare I say souls, into creating something truly intense and exciting,” said executive producer Jonathan Knight. “We hope gamers enjoy this tease of hell, and come away from the experience lusting for more when the game comes out on February 9.”
Developed by Visceral Games™, the award-winning developers behind the critically-acclaimed Dead Space™ franchise, Dante’s Inferno is an epic descent through Dante Alighieri’s nine circles of hell – limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, anger, heresy, violence, fraud and treachery. At a blazing-fast 60 frames per second, each circle features unique environments, all new creatures, terrifying demons, story elements and are scored distinctly to set a tone that fits each circle of sinners.
Gamers will get to go to hell in North America beginning February 9, 2010 and in Europe on February 12, 2010 for PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system as well as the PlayStation® Portable (PSP®). The “Gates of Hell” demo will be available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.
Dante’s Inferno is rated M for Mature by the ESRB and is currently awaiting PEGI classification. For more information on Dante’s Inferno, please follow the Dante’s Inferno team at Visceral Games on Twitter at www.twitter.com/danteteam and visit the game’s official web site at www.dantesinferno.com where the team explores a new circle of hell, with new content and updates on the ninth day of every month.
